I didn’t see Bethy frequently as we live so far away but I hadn’t realised how much she was in my thoughts. I often see things and think - “I’ll get that for Bethy’s birthday or Christmas present” or “next time Bethy comes I’ll have to see if Emma would like to take her to see that” or even just “ I think Bethy would like that”. It is always a jolt to remember she’s gone. I am not reminded of her absence daily but often and jarringly, her loss a gaping wound in our family. Bethy was unique and sadly missed.
